Daniel Radcliffe has put to rest any rumors that he is up for the role of Bilbo Baggins in Peter Jackson’s upcoming “Hobbit” set of films.
Radcliffe has said he has no desire to do any new projects “with wizards in them”.
He further goes on to say that his choice for Bilbo would be James McAvoy (“Wanted”, “Chronicles of Narnia”).
Not a bad choice. My favorite “safe” pick though would be Paul Freeman (of the UK “Office” and “Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy”). He would really nail Bilbo as a character.
Of course, my secret desire pick would be Ricky Gervais as a note PERFECT Bilbo. Fits the look, supposed age level, and comic timing of Tolkien’s beloved Hobbit.
